Some Feedback and reviews:

‘It was great to hear Dinah’s talk, about her life and how she got into writing. I was particularly impressed by her willingness to not only read the competition ‘novel opening’ stories, but to write encouraging comments as well. Also in taking the time to name and sign the books for the local YR 6 children and at the end of what must have been a tiring session, to sign books for a queue of YR 7’s with a smile’. Thanks again for giving such a great presentation at Eltham. Many of those who attended are budding writers and the fact that you spoke so openly about your life and writing techniques was really inspirational. Several people told me it was the best ‘author talk’ they had attended. Hope you had a smooth journey back to Lewes and best of luck with your new books. I’ll certainly be looking out for them!’ (Appearance at Eltham Library)

“The workshop went very well.  Sian has nearly finished reading your first book and wants to be a writer.  We hope we can have you back again as it was a great success”  (Jane Sambrook, manager of Lansdowne Secure Unit, Hailsham).

Thursday 5th March welcomed World Book Day to Broomfield.  We were extremely fortunate to be joined by Dinah Capparucci the internationally renowned children’s author.

She spent the whole day with year 7 in the library where she held workshops promoting reading and judging a story writing competition where a certificate was given to the lucky winners.  30 Primary school students also joined us for the event from Bowes Primary School. Year 7 were also fortunate enough to be given a free copy of Capparucci’s new book as part of the celebrations.

The whole school took part in an international author’s quiz, where prizes and certificates were given to the winners!
